What is this Palate Party thing?
A live synchronized blind tasting subscription box game for groups! Taste, Vote, Discover!
What are we tasting?
Right now we have 3 categories: Savory Bites, Sweet Treats, and Sip & Refresh. You can also choose for us to surprise you!
What comes in a box?
Expert-curated samples in your chosen category which are blind labeled (A, B, C) and codes to access your Palate Party on our App.No brands, no bias. Just TASTE!
What does the app do?
The app is where the magic happens! Using your individualized Palate Party code, you and your guests are able to rate, rank, and VOTE all of the tasty samples simultaneously on your own devices. No peeking!
Then what?
DISCOVER! All brands/flavors, ranking, and voting will be revealed. Find out if the store brand held their own against the premium pick. What was the winner at your Palate Party?
How do we get our Palate Party started?
Log onto our website and sign right up for either a DIY tasting or Subscription box.
What is the difference?
With the DIY tasting you buy your products, cover the labels, and use the app. With the Subscription box we curate expert-selected products, blind label everything, and ship it directly to your door. Open the box, open the app, and have yourself a Palate Party!
A subscription? How does that work?
No worries! You can cancel at any time, change the category, and change the number of guests monthly from your own account.
Gameplay
How many people do I need to play?
No minimum and no real upper limit. Palate Party works for a quiet duo or a full party up to 10. The free DIY app has no cap.
Can we play without buying a box?
Yes. The free app runs a DIY tasting with whatever you already have at home. Cover the labels, open the app, and the party syncs across devices.
Does everyone need their own phone?
Each guest joins on their own device (phone, tablet, laptop) so ratings stay private until the reveal. Guests can join from the web with no install; the host runs from the app or the web.
Can I play without downloading the app?
Yes! You can just go to https://app.palateparty.net and play!
How long does a tasting take?
A typical four-sample tasting runs 30–45 minutes including the reveal. You can pause and resume mid-party.
What can we taste?
Anything you can serve without a label — chocolate, cola, chips. The subscription box rotates a different category every month.
The Box & Subscription
What's in a box?
Expert-curated samples for the month's category, blind-labeled A, B, C…, plus everything the host needs to run the party. The app helps to guide the whole experience.
How does pricing work?
$10 per person per month plus flat $6.95 shipping per box. A solo subscription is $16.95/mo, a couple is $26.95/mo, a group of four is $46.95/mo. United States only for now.
Can I cancel or skip a month?
Yes — cancel or pause anytime from your account page. No long-term commitment.
What if I'm not happy with my subscription box?
We'll make it right, no questions asked.
Do you accommodate allergies or dietary preferences?
Set your dietary preferences on your account and we'll flag conflicts before each box ships. Every box also lists ingredients and major allergens.
Account & Sign-in
How do I sign in?
Passwordless email sign-in. Enter your email and we'll send a one-time code plus a magic link — either one logs you in. No passwords to remember.
I didn't get my code or magic link.
Wait a minute (some inboxes delay delivery), then check your spam folder. Codes expire after a short window, so request a fresh one if it doesn't arrive.
Can my partner and I share a subscription?
Yes. A subscription is per-household — everyone in your home can play together off a single box. Each guest still signs in on their own device so ratings stay private.
How do I delete my account?
Cancel any active subscription on the account page, then email hello@palateparty.net to request full deletion of your data.
The Fine Print
Do we need internet during the party?
Yes. Everyone's device syncs to the host in real time, so you'll want WiFi or cell service at your venue.
Is Palate Party for kids?
All categories are family-friendly food tastings.
